Long-time friend and actor Judd Nelson once commented while exiting LA superior court where he had just finished suing the LA Times for libel, that had it not been for the rigorous training he received in the acting studios his mom forced him to enroll in as a child, he might never have gotten where he is today, and quite possibly could have ended up staying back in Maine for the duration of his lifetime, picking blueberries in the summer, and racing lobster boats in Portland Harbor during the winter. What a difference those acting studios can make!

For the rest of us who aren't fabulously rich and famous and super-talented like Judd, the row is hard to hoe. We need acting studios to teach us the vital skills necessary to make it in this cutthroat, take-no-prisoners business of Hollywood picture shows and TV reality. A person that calls themselves an actor and hasn't participated in, or at least looked into any of the acting studios out there (and there are a lot of them out there), can hardly call themselves a true actor. A real actor, like Judd Nelson, is always looking for ways to improve their skills, and acting studios are a great way to do it.

Even if you are a native Mainer, and you think there are no acting studios within five hundred miles of you, guess again. Maine has plenty of acting studios, just like a real state. Even in Waterville! Now, maybe we can't go so far as to change the state slogan from Vacationland to Acting Studios land, but anyone who says Maine doesn't have a high quality selection of acting studios has got potatoes for brains!
